Open Gold Expedition -

What is included:

• 1x Practice Expedition 29th July - 2nd August 2024 - Snowdonia

• 1x Qualifying Expedition 27th - 31st August 2024 - Lake District

• Comprehensive pre-expedition pack including parents information and kit lists

• Pre expedition drop in meetings to get to know others and meet the instructor team

• Supervision and training from experienced instructors

• Use of all group kit – tents, stoves, fuel, group shelters, maps and compasses

• Accredited assessor for the qualifying expedition

• Campsite fees

Travel to the expedition venue is not included. However, we hope that the drop in sessions will allow participants the chance to meet others and share travel arrangements.

Participants will plan and complete their training and practice expedition in Snowdonia 29th July- 2nd August. Followed by a qualifying expedition in the Lake District to include a 4-day self-sufficient journey, 27th - 31st August.

No prior route planning is required for this course. At Gold level, the first day of each course has been designed to facilitate planning, training and teambuilding. As part of our Berkshire programme we will also be hosting a series of drop in sessions in 2024 to get to know the teams and meet the instructional team.
